Formerly focused on TRT for men, this program now supports appropriate hormone optimization for both male and female patients.

What Is BHRT?
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is a personalized hormone optimization program for adult men and women experiencing symptoms that may be related to changing or declining hormone levels. For male patients, BHRT often includes Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT). For female patients, BHRT may include testosterone, progesterone, estradiol, estriol, or customized estrogen/progesterone combinations when clinically appropriate.
Treatment may be prescribed in topical, oral, injectable, or other compounded forms depending on your symptoms, medical history, lab results, goals, and provider recommendation. The goal is not a one-size-fits-all number; the goal is to improve how you feel and function while monitoring safety.
What Hormones May Be Included?
- Testosterone: supports libido, sexual function, energy, motivation, muscle strength, body composition, mood, and focus in both men and women.
- Estrogens: estradiol (E2) and estriol (E3) may support hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal and urinary tissue comfort, sleep, mood, skin, sexual comfort, and bone health.
- Progesterone: may be used on its own or with estrogen, especially when a patient has a uterus, and may support sleep, cycle-related symptoms, and overall hormone balance.
- Combination therapy: some patients benefit from a topical or oral combination of hormones. Your provider determines the hormone, dose, route, and monitoring schedule.
Signs and Symptoms of Hormone Imbalance
Hormone imbalance can look different for everyone. Symptoms may overlap with thyroid issues, anemia, stress, sleep apnea, medication effects, nutrition, or other health concerns, which is why testing and a medical visit are important.
- Common symptoms in men: low energy or fatigue; decreased libido; erectile or performance changes; trouble building muscle or losing fat; slower exercise recovery; mood changes, irritability, depression, or lower motivation; mental fog or trouble focusing; sleep disruption; and difficulty managing blood sugar or insulin.
- Common symptoms in women: hot flashes or night sweats; irregular, heavy, or changing periods; PMS-type symptoms; breast tenderness or bloating; vaginal dryness, discomfort with sex, or urinary changes; low libido or arousal changes; fatigue; mood swings, anxiety, irritability, or depression; poor sleep; brain fog or memory changes; dry skin or hair changes; joint aches; reduced muscle tone; and stubborn weight or body-composition changes.
Who Is It For?
The BHRT Program is for adult men and women with symptoms of possible hormone decline or imbalance who want a streamlined program that includes medical evaluation, lab monitoring, medication access, and ongoing support. Men often notice changes beginning in their 30s or 40s. Women may seek evaluation during perimenopause, menopause, post-menopause, or when symptoms suggest a hormonal imbalance.
A medical visit with a trained hormone optimization provider and lab testing will confirm whether this streamlined program is appropriate. If you need expanded evaluation for sleep, gut health, thyroid, metabolic concerns, or other complex issues, your provider may recommend a more comprehensive functional medicine protocol instead.

How Does It Work?
- Start with a consultation with one of our providers and complete the recommended lab testing.
- Your provider reviews your symptoms, health history, risk factors, and labs to determine whether BHRT is appropriate.
- If you qualify, we create a personalized plan that may include testosterone, progesterone, estrogen therapy, or a combination protocol.
- Medications are ordered through trusted compounding pharmacies to support quality, consistency, and customization.
- Follow-up visits and lab monitoring help your provider adjust treatment safely over time.
What to Expect
Patients in a medically monitored hormone program often seek improvements in energy, sexual health, mood, sleep, focus, exercise recovery, body composition, and overall vitality. Female patients may also seek relief from hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness or discomfort, cycle-related symptoms, and other perimenopause or menopause concerns.
BHRT does not replace healthy nutrition, strength training, sleep, stress management, or preventive medical care. It is one part of a broader plan to help you feel and function better.
What’s My Commitment?
A 3-month commitment ensures we can deliver effective care from the start, including your initial visit, labs, medication access, and supplies. Open communication with your provider is essential. Please share any health updates, new diagnoses, medication changes, supplements, outside lab findings, or side effects as soon as possible.
